It has been quite some time since the last update, sorry about that. We were in Minnesota for a week and the Thanksgiving holiday have had us running around.
Nathaniel is now able to reach his hand out to wave "hello" or for something that he wants. He is crawling everywhere and cruising around the furniture. His new found superpowers have raised his world up 2 feet. No longer is the world ground level. Nat is also talking -- baby talk of course. "Ma Ma" is his favorite right now. "Ba Ba" is for a bottle, then he goes directly into a meltdown for the bottle. If he catches the slightest glimpse of a bottle when he is a little hungry, Nat will meltdown into a puddle of stress, confusion and cries for his "Ba Ba". Nathaniel is also trying many different solid foods, utililizing those 7 teeth. Thanksgiving turkey is a treat with sweat peas and carrots. All bite size and easily swallowed. He is not a fan of scrambled eggs, but does like pancakes for breakfast. Our 9 month checkup went very well and his is in the middle of the middle percentages for weight, height and cranial circumference.
Our trip to Minnesota was the typical freezing cold greeting at this time of year. It was a 50 degree temperature difference when we landed in Minneapolis. The winds picked up and temperature dropped even lower over night. I took Nat for a walk through the downtown skywalk system to have breakfast at Key's Cafe (now located in the Foshay Tower). He enjoyed watching everyone walk to work or have coffee in the many shops along the way. We had to briefly go outside for three blocks and Nat had had enough of the cold by then. Back inside we went and made our way to the hotel for checkout. Nat's visit to Minneapolis was cold and brief. We were able to visit with family and friends, but wished we could have seen everyone. However, our time in Minnesota was much too brief.
We had a wonderful visit with Great Grandma DeRosa. Her new place was perfect for us to relax and visit. Of course, Nat couldn't stay still. He was always in motion and this is the best picture we have that wasn't too blurry.
Nat and Loren played together at Aunt Deb's house, during our very brief visit to Waseca.
The next week we had Thanksgiving with Grandpa and Grandma Strunc. Nat was facinated with the ceiling fan pull string.
Nat also had his first ride in a boat, which was a lot of fun.
We have our first boat. It's not new or big, but will be perfect for us to explore our creek and Tampa Bay.
